Cookie Policy
Last updated: September 2, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how LiveResults utilizes cookies, browser local storage, and similar web technologies across our website, OBS Studio overlays, and configuration panels.
1. What are Cookies and Browser Local Storage?
Cookies are tiny text files stored on your computer or mobile device when you browse websites. HTML5 localStorage is a modern web standard providing client-side key-value storage. Unlike traditional cookies, local storage data is never automatically transmitted to servers with every HTTP request, making it significantly faster, lighter, and more secure.
2. What We Store and Why
LiveResults adheres to a strict principle of storage minimization. We only store values essential to operating the user interface:
| Key / Technology | Category | Function & Purpose | Lifespan |
|---|---|---|---|
liveresults_cookie_consent |
Strictly Necessary | Remembers that you have reviewed and dismissed the privacy and cookie notice. | Persistent (1 year) |
liveresults_theme |
User Preferences | Saves your chosen studio stadium background (Dark Glow, TV Studio, Arena Pitch). | Persistent |
liveresults_sound |
User Preferences | Stores your audio mute state for goal alerts and referee whistles. | Persistent |
liveresults_league |
User Preferences | Remembers your last active league selection in the live dashboard. | Persistent |
3. No Third-Party Tracking or Advertising Cookies
We do NOT partner with third-party ad networks, trackers, or analytics services that drop third-party cookies (such as Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or retargeting beacons). Your browsing activity is never tracked across other domains.
4. Managing and Clearing Cookies
You have complete control over cookies and local storage. You can configure your browser to block cookies, notify you when a cookie is set, or clear existing data at any time:
- Google Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies → Clear browsing data.
- Mozilla Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data.
- Apple Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data → Remove All.
- OBS Studio: Right-click the Browser Source → Refresh cache of current page.
Note: Clearing your browser storage will simply reset the overlay to its default broadcast skin and unmuted audio status.
5. Updates to this Policy
We may occasionally update this Cookie Policy to reflect technical improvements or legal requirements. Any revisions will be published here with an updated revision date.
